The Notre Dame extended Research Community (NDeRC) invites all local K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teachers and parents to attend this year's Collaborating for Education & Research Forum. The Forum is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Notre Dame to foster a collegial approach to STEM education and research in Michiana. We will be discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the local STEM community. Last year over 200 K-12 STEM teachers and parents participated in the Forum.Click here to register!
A $100 Professional Development Stipend will be paid to each teacher who fully participates. Also, schools will receive a $50 mini-grant for each parent who participates. (The mini-grants are to be used by the schools for new science expenditures - $250 per school maximum).
Project Fair Areas include: Atomic Imaging, Genetics & Embryonic Development, Astronomy, Subatomic Physics, and Topics in Engineering, Mathematics and Science for Middle Schools.
