at the University of Notre Dame's Jordan Hall of Scienceforum1_.jpgforum2_.jpgforum3_.jpg
The Notre Dame extended Research Community (NDeRC) invites all local K-12 administrators, K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) teachers and members of local colleges and universities interested in STEM education and research to attend this year's Collaborating for Education & Research Forum. The Forum is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Notre Dame to foster a collegial approach to STEM education and research in Michiana. We will be discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the local STEM community. Last year over 200 K-12 STEM teachers participated in the Forum.

Some Forum IV highlights
  • A certificate for 5 State of Indiana Professional Growth Points will be presented to each K-12 administrator and K-12 STEM teacher who fully participates in the Forum. This year we are unable to offer stipends for Forum participation.
  • All of the summer professional development opportunities showcased at the Forum will be offered at no cost to teachers (some carry stipends) and will offer State of Indiana Professional Growth Points to qualifying teachers.
  • Project Fair Areas include: Nanotechnology, Genetics & Embryonic Development, Environmental Studies, Astronomy, Subatomic Physics and topics in Engineering, Mathematics and Science for Primary and Middle School.
